I seem to have problems with gouramis, over time slowly becoming bloated. the scales do NOT protrude, though the belly of the one I'm looking at now seems really huge. They seem active, happy and eat well.. Is this dropsy or maybe an internal parasite? My other fish- rainbows mostly- don't get this.
Are gourami prone to this type of problem?
thanks for any help

Do they eventually die? How long have you had the problem?
What kind of food do you feed them? A simple solution might be they are constipated. Tey cooked peas and see if it helps.
