Red belly piranha eat fruit, that is what they use there teeth for a lot in there natural enviroment. so it is good to feed your piranhas some fruit everyonce in a wile. what size is it and u should be able to tell by a few things. A lot say teeth but that isnt always true. shiny scales on the p as apposed to no flakes on the pacu. if u can post a pic i should be able to tell. and if it gets bigger than 12" youve got a pecu. or i just thought of this if he is the only one of its kind is he hiding all the time and real skidish then sounds like a p. put some fish in and see what he does if its a pacu it should leave the fish alone if they dont fit in its mouth. If the lower jaw extends out past the upper jaw, it's a piranha. The meet vs. fruit thing doesn't matter much as I have found with my pacu. He eats anything you put in the tank with him. IP: Logged |
