Unless you've been organic gardening for a few years I don't believe I would risk it. You have to consider what pesticide and fertilizer residue the insect has picked up in your garden.

bugs should be okay but if you have used any pesticides than they may not be healthy. crickets should be fine but they may have strayed off and had pestisides from other gardens. worms though are great.
