The temperature that has been recommended to me for my Mollies is 76 to 78 degrees. On the aquarium salt box it recommends the water temperature of 80 degrees. Which do I do? I am not sure if the couple of degrees make a big difference. IP: Logged |

Anywhere from 76 to 80 is perfectly acceptable. The 80 degree is more or less to control parasites like ich, which is a standard recommendation for all ich medications. I prefer to run my tanks 78 to 80 for less incidence of ich, but if it is easier to stabalize your tank temperature at 76 then run it there. The main thing is keeping the temperature stable. Hope this answers your question. IP: Logged |
