thank you to all that gave me advice for helping me with my pacu.

today was the first day in 2 weeks that my pacu finally ate. i had raised the temperature in the tank to about 81.5 and in just a few days my pacu has made a coplete recovery. his skin looks better and his appetite came back. hes a happy fish once again.

i strogly reccomend getting a titanium digital read out heater. it lets you get the temp exactly as you want. also it is ideal for tanks with big fish. no glass to be shattered.

thanks again for the help.

Hi Silver, I'm glad raising the temp worked for you. I'm not sure how much lower it was before you raised it. I've found 78 to 80 degrees to work very well with Pacus. I try not to go over 80 so that they don't respirate to heavily. Anyway, glad that your Pacu is better. They're great fish.
