Which is better to feed to six 2" red belly piranha, guppies or goldfish?

I tried guppies before, but they seemed to be too fast for the piranhas. So I caught them all and flushed them down the toilet before they died in the tank.

I also occasionally toss cocktail shrimp inside the tank for them & the crawfish to nibble on. Is this okay?

the shrip is ok, as long as u dont let it polute the tank. i would try feeding ur P's blood worms or beef heart, otehr wise go with small feeders, that have been quarentined for a few days, some feeders can disease ur P's

Bad info, don't feed any fish any type of beef product, it is way to high in fat and their digestive systems will be overwhelmed. As far as feeding your piranhas fish, forget it, it is just a matter of time before they will get a disease and you'll lose your whole tank's stock. It's best to stay with the freeze dreid things that you can get from your fish dealer, and turkey is the best choice for animal meats.

You bought pirahna to see it eat live fish...right? Just keep the live fish in a 10 gal. tank for 3 days. The bad ones should be dead by then.
