I'm hoping there is a fish psycologist out there somewhere. I have a 10" pacu and a equal size pleco in the same tank. And this morning I noticed alittle rub mark on my pacu's eye. I watched all day and I noticed that the two would start fighting. I mean a no holds barred, hitting the side of the tank, bitting fight. I would really appreciate any suggests on what to do. I'm willing to do whatever I have to to keep my pacu, I've gotten really attached.

Let me save you alot of grief, get rid of the pacu. Depending on what kind you have, on average, they will grow up to 3 to 4 feet in length (depending on tank size).

I have a few pacus, he's just my newest. I know exactly how big they get, I've had pacus for going on ten years now but never encountered this situation with plecos before. Thanks for your suggestion though. I've already arranged for another 500g tank for him. Thank you for your suggestions.

leave the pleco in the tank and buy a bigger tank for the pacu.
