I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 Placostomouses and 4 Oscars (2 will be going to another tank soon). About a week ago, I noticed that one of the Placos was floating at the top of the tank. Assuming it was dead, I went to scoop it up, but it was still alive. I didn't think much of it and figured it would die within the next 24 hrs.

Well, I was wrong. Here it is a week later, still alive and floating at the top of the tank. If I poke it, it will swim away upside down and stay that way.

Does anyone know what it is doing?

he will probably end up dead, my Pleco acted like that (upside down etc.) and he lasted 2 months. he would swim normal sometimes, but would rest upside down and acted odd. He eventually kicked the bucket from it though.

So we'll see.

Sounds like it could very well be a swim balder problem. Is it getting enough food? Is there any dirft wood in the tank for them to eat as well?

No there isn't any driftwood in the tank but we feed the plecos algae discs on a daily basis.
