I just recently got piranas, ive had em for about 3 or 4 weeks. this problem just started to turn into an issue. I keep my feeders in a tank in my sisters rom with a couple of those small turtles. I think there red eared turtles or soemthing. the small ones that swim around. the turtles have always sorta nipped at the feeders but just recently, basicly today they started getting vicous. I got 30 more feeders today and i think its when they croud the turtles they start biting. But one of the turtles has already ripped apart and killed like 4 feeders. That little bastard is messing up my damn feeders. Is that normal? should i keep the feeders somewhere else, or maybe feed the turtle to my piranas Im sure my sister would b happy about that IP: Logged |

the turtles eating your feeder fish is normal, they are feeding off of them like they would do in the wild. get it? small fish = food. it's all natural. I wouldn't feed the precious turtles to the piranahs it's not their fault, so I would just move the feeders. I have a turtle that did the same thing a year ago. she's two IP: Logged |
