i have two very shy baby piranhas, when i spy on them they are very happy swimming around the tank, but when i get near to the tank they just go under a plant! is there anything i can do to help them get over it? will they become less shy when the get older? IP: Logged |

piranhas are a very skittish fish and don't like a lot of movement outside the tank. just be patient at first mine would just go to the back behind some driftwood. now they swim around but still get scared when something fast moves. like a hand body and what not. just give them time to get used to the surroundings. also how big is your tank. cause you should really get one more they will do better if your tank can hold them. IP: Logged |
