I sodenly got the idea that i could use one of those plastic pools. I have a 600g in my garage so i thought that i could put in some heaters and a couple filters and keep it down stairs with a huge sheat of glass and a light overit any comments? IP: Logged |

BAd idea most pool liners have chemicals in the plastic to keep water conditions stable.Dont do this or more than likley you will end up with dead fish... IP: Logged |

Actually, those 600 gallon pools are fish safe, atleast the one i had was. I bought it at K-mart. I kept some Koi in one a few years back, no casualties. Ofcourse i tested it first, i bought $1 worth of feeder goldfish and let them live in there for awhile to see if they croaked over =P Soon after my Koi had been in there for awhile, i emptied it and lined it with some black plastic sheeting from Home Depot. It makes the fish feel safer and looks better than having white or blue etc. walls, floor. So if you want to keep some fish in one, id suggest testing it first. Put some goldfish in there.
