i just got a new 3 inch red. How do i get him to start eating he wont eat feeders or cichlid pellets. But he is healthy

Try beef heart but if he doesn't eat it right away get it out of the tank in an hour. If it's left in the tank too long it can foul the water. I wouldn't worry too much right now. He probably just needs some time to get used to the tank.
