i just got an 8 inch red belly piranah last thursday and i put him in my 30 gallon tank with my long finned oscar, red devil, and jack dempsey. I just fed them 2 dozen fish today and the piranah is still passive and not attacking anything. WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH HIM? IP: Logged |

He may still be acclimatizing.( or maybe u got jipped )No, he just has to get used to his new home. Your tank seems a little bit cramped to me though...[This message has been edited by grumble111 (edited 03-18-2003).] IP: Logged |

I think you need a WAY bigger tank than that for all of them to be healthy. IP: Logged |

I personally have never had a big piranha but i THINK i may be mistaken that piranhas get a little more inactive as they get bigger but if i am wrong you can say goodbye to your fish ina couple of weeks IP: Logged |
