Hello everybody! I'm new here and would like some advice. I am very intrested in buying piranhas. Could someone tell me if they are legal in ny. Also how and where do I get them, how much are they, how many can I fit in a 30 gallon tank, and how to take care of them. Thank you and I look foward to speaking with all of you.

I have 2 wild redbellied pirhanas for sale, they aren't the lame ones you get in any pet store my friend went to Brazil and brought back 6. These are the real deal, regular ones cost about 45 to 50 for 3 to 4.5 inch. These are 5.5 and can be yours for 80.00 for two. If interested I can tell you how much overnight or same day shipping will be since i live in PA. any more than 2, in that tank, will be too many they need space 30 gall. will do nicely and they are only illegal in states where a person if stupide enough could release them in local waters and survive, in ny they would only last part of the summer at the most. They are legal in NY

First who cares if there legal or not ? How would the police know if you have Piranhas in your house ? Any way you could find red belly piranhas in most fish stores from $5.00 - $20.00 depending on there size. My local fish store has them for $7.00-$10.00 each and you get a discount if you buy 3 or more. They also have Black Piranhas 3-4 inches for $30.00 I just got one yesterday. ( www.elmersaquarium.com )and you should get a bigger tank if you want Piranhas a 30 gal would be "OK" for 1 red belly but any more then 1 they would most likley kill each other buy the time they grow up. red belly piranhas get to be about 8-10 inches so it would be crowded. and for the blacks you need about a 75 gal for 1 they get about 14-18 inches. the reds will be OK living togerther in a large enough tank but the blacks must be by them self.

www.angelfire.com/biz/piranha038/Laws_and_Piranhas.html website that you should see for legality. Again, Im talkin about wild caught Pirhanas so you can compare these to pet stores but you gotta be smarter than that! I have someone in South Carolina that is interested but it would be alot less hassle to get them to NY. If your interested send me an email at Patstuff94@hotmail.com And I will give you all the information you will ever need
