Primarily affecting cichlids, cause: poor water quality and lack of vitamins a and c. Starts as a harmless parasite, Hexamita, in the fishes stomach.Hexamita migrate through the fishes system and through the holes until they invade a vital organ. Symtoms: erosion of the pores along the front and side of the head. Use Hex-a vital by Aquatronics or Hole in the head guard by Jungle, to treat this disease. IP: Logged |
