I would only try this if you let them grow up together. Throwing angels in now would be risky. What kind of cichlids, and how big is the tank are 2 questions that must be considered.

it all depends on what kind of cichlids you have. Oscars and Jack dempseys for example,
when you at fish like angel fish, all you are doing is buying them free food.

Just find some very peaceful cichlids to go with them. Good luck

o.k. just for the record angelfish are cichlids And I wouldn't do that if they were my angels. Angelfish are not aggresive and should not be kept with the such.

Wow I keep my angels in a community tank! you know, gouramis, cories, loaches. that type thing. angles aren't aggressive at all (only a little territorial with their own kind) and their fins are sooo delicate.

Angels are said to be stressed easily. Fishies die of stress. While I was at our local superpets, a worker said you could watch the angels die while they were trying to catch some neon tetras they had "bunked" with them. My dad has had no luck with angels in his tank. ( 8 fish i'd say!) At jacks aquarium they have compatibilities labeled for fish. Angels are b/c and chichilids are d's or f's. I would not suggest it since your chichilid is is meaner than the rest.

No,
you are gonna buy free food for Cichlid's, if you do this, a couple of days your angel will be killed.
