I have had a Ciclid die on me the other day. She started laying on botom 2 weeks ago, but when approached she swam normally, and ate too. But then 2 nights ago she started violently swimming and jumping and hitting the tank lid. Like she was going crazy. There was a red spot under her skin then that just got worse and then died. Now my other one is showing signs of laying down. Is there something wrong? HELP!

Your description of the red spot sounds like
hemoragic septicemia which can be treated with Maracyn (erethromycin) or tetracycline.
