Yes people,

Just wanted to say thanks for the support on the board....I think my Piranhas would be in Fish heaven if it wernt for good advice.

Anyhow;

I have 4 Piranhas in a 42Gallon tank. They are approx 2.5 inches in length.

By far the best way to keep the tank healthy is to do a 15%/20% water change every 2-3days.

I rinse the ornaments and plants every 2-3 weeks.

The Filter pads are washed in the same water I use in the water change.

The temperature in my tank is about 78/81.

The food I give my fish at the moment is; Fish flakes, White bait, Blood worms, Prawns, Beef heart .

I just found out I can give them live bait such as Shrimp. Interesting as these things are fast, but £1:20 for 10 River Shrimps....cant argue.

I have a Marine light, that gives a blue relection.....not to bright.....but Its covered with a few tall plants.

The stuff I have got in my tank is kept to the sides....so the fish can hide at the back and swim at the front.

Other than that, i think they are happy.....as they seem to be playing games all the time.

It was fascinating when I put the Shrimps in the tank......all the Piranhas went into Search and destroy mode....

Hope this is helpful to somebody, any other advice would be appreciated.....
