I had a african brown knife fish that would eat from my hand. my irridescent shark does as well. some other fish do too, depending on how greedy they are ; ) it's not hard, you just hold a frozen cube of worms in the water and they nibble it. african knifes will rub on your hand and let you pet it too after awhile. they are super cool fish but make sure they are WELL fed or they will snack on your other fish during the night, as they are nocturnal, while the hapless fish sleep. I had a Pacu that I fed by hand. Once I got him eating from my hand every time after I fed him I would reach down and pet him. After a while he got to where he would make one movement when he wanted something to eat and make a different movement when he wanted to be petted. By the way, he was a black Pacu. I haven't had the same amount of success with the red belly Pacus. IP: Logged |
