Fergie unregistered	posted 11-13-2002 04:01 PM We are new to fish aquariums. My daughter has two dalmation mollies and had two mickey mouse plattys. The one mickey mouse died. However we have discoverd 6 babies. How do we know which they are? They are smaller than I would think molly babies are from seeing them on the computer. Thanks for any help. IP: Logged

The one platy that has deceased may have been the pregnant female. It is common for the new mother to die after giving birth or during. Try also matching the colors. Babies usually have distinct colors you just need to look close. By all means, isolate the babies, or they won't be around for much longer. IP: Logged
