Did you say twelve, 1/2 inch pirahna? No way can you support them in twenty gallons! I mean they might be okay right now, but full grown they can get to 12 inches long. You would probably have trouble in a 110 gallon tank, we're talking big fish that will get big no matter what! One full grown pirahna would probably not be able to turn around in a twenty gallon. Good Luck! IP: Logged |

Just to reiterate what Hooben mentioned... I aggree that you would need a large tank to support 12 piranhas. I believe you meant one 2 1/2 inch piranha. The rule to go by is one inch of fish per gallon of water-a full grown piranha at 12 inches needs 12 US gallons of water. IP: Logged |

you need to have 15 gallons per adult piranha. i have 10 in a 350 gallon tank and they have growing up great. you will need to get a tank about the same size if you are going to keep all of them. IP: Logged |
