Buy them some good frozen bloodworms or beefheart, this will stimulate them. Feed them with the lights in the house off so they can't see you, they think you're a predator waiting to eat them. Pacus are always very timid at first, but some even grow to recognize you as the person that has the food! How big is the tank, that could also have an effect on their behavior. Buy some long plastic plants so they wont feel so nervous as they tend to spend most of their time near the surface. Oh, and keep them well fed or they'll lunch on your tiger barb. Trust me, with time they'll become more agressive! Remember, the Pacu can grow to be 16 inches long with sharp teeth! Finally, tiger barbs do much better in schools. They chase each other around and are very entertaining to watch. Hope this helps! GO AIR FORCE!!! Plecos usually won't move around much during the day. They really swim more at night when th lights are out. If there is algae on the glass, then he'll get to it but not enough so that you'll see less green stuff right away...especially if the pleco is small. If theres no green stuff on the glass then buy it some algae wafers and feed him one every two days or so. The plecos looking around the toys for food n stuff like that. C-ya IP: Logged |

I wouldn't put an arrowana with pacu, and if you mean a ghost knife then watch out. The arrowana could swallow everything else in the tank including the pacu, if you give it time. I've seen 'em three feet long. The pacu are agressive and like to eat fish, but the arrowana is a whole different devil. IP: Logged |
