I am a beginner here and have had my 10 gallon tank for 2 weeks now. Yesterday I bought 2 black mollies and this morning I have 5 mollies! The bulge in the belly of one of the mollies makes sense now. However, now the other molly has a white foam around her/his (don't know how to tell the difference from male/female unless giving birth) mouth and I'm guessing this is a fungus. My question, am I in trouble here? Any advice for what I should do for the white mouthed molly or the newborn small fries? Is the 10 gallon tank too small? I've got two guppies and a swordtail in the tank too. Any advice would be great. andy IP: Logged |

Any time you are unsure about a fish like that, then the best thing to do is take it out before it infects the rest of the fish. Mollies are such fast reproducers anyways. Sounds like you have a nice tank, why risk loosing it all? IP: Logged |
