Recently I realised that the egdes of my goldfish's fins and tail are starting to turn black. Can you please tell me why this might be happening? IP: Logged |

well if you have a heater in your tank it is because it is too hot. goldfish dont need heaters. they like cold, or room temp. water. also if you dont have a heater it could be some kind of fin desiease. get some anti-bacteria medicine and go from there if that doesnt work then i dont know what to tell you. Your fish changing colour on the tips of its fins could be becouse it has reached maturity and hormone changes in its body or fin rot . IP: Logged |

All of my older fish start to generate black spots. Sometimes its from chemicals or ammonia, but usually its nothing to be worried about. IP: Logged |
