I have a 20gal tank that has had 2 ciclids in it for 3 yeard. I bought a new ciclid and introduced him to the tank. He died in a few days , but the problem now is that the two original fish fight continualy. I have had to put a tank divider in just so they dont kill each other. Any ideas on how to get them to gey along again? Thanks IP: Logged |

Hey Jayman, If they are African ciclids then in order for them to get along you must put lots of rocks in your tank so your fish can hide. Secondly, you need to buy more ciclids because the more ciclids you have, the less they become territorial and the less they will fight. I have a 20 gallon tank with lots of stacked up river bed rocks and nine ciclids. They chase each other around, but nothing serious. The bigger the tank, the more ciclids you need. Just remember, this only goes for AFRICAN ciclids.good luck! IP: Logged |
