I have been suffering on and off now for several months with a very cloudy tank. There is only 1 oscar in the 30 gal tank, and gets regular water changes. The cloudiness seems to worsen when I put in a clearing agent specifically for cloudiness. I have used almost every kind of clearing agent to no avail, and have been to oodles of petshops looking for a solution. Is there anyone out there that can relate, or has some knowledge in this matter? I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks. IP: Logged |

it depends on the size of your fish and how many you have. if you have a single pump it may not circulate enough water if your fish is any bigger than 4-5 inches you need a bigger tank. i would suggest you get about a 55-75 gallon tank with 2 double head filters that will solve the prob. i had a 12 inch oscar in a 55 and had to move up because the same prob when i did it stop so try that. Go and buy yourself a bio-wheel filter that puts out 330 gallons per hour or more. Fill the baskets with aquarium charcoal and that hang on unit will polish the water good enough to drink! IP: Logged |
