Instead of fish food does goldfish eat any thing else that you can find in your backyard?

Gold fish eats just about anything. Bread, mosquito larvae, earthworms, small insects - those with soft outer covering. Careful with bread as it will encourage fungal growth. Try chopped lettuce.
