I have 2 problems, first, my water color is green! I've done 2 twenty percent water changes in 2 days and it's not getting much better. Also, the piranha's are constantly sinking to the bottom (they'll swim up then seem to fall down). I need help, any suggestions welcome. Thanks IP: Logged |

Clean your entire tank tank out! Then put your piranha back in then add some stress coat, ick cure, and water conditioner. IP: Logged |

The green water is algae. If your getting rapid algae buildup your nitrates are most likely excessively high and you need to thoroughly clean the gravel. Also you will find that the algae that is suspended in the water now will start to collect on everything in the tank including the glass. Once it starts to collect on the glass it will be extremely hard to get rid of so you need to do this as soon as possible. I recomend using Amquel to remove chlorine/chloramine, and Novaqua to buffer the PH when you refill the tank. You shouldn't need any other medications unless you see a fungus or ick when you remove them to clean the tank. IP: Logged |
