I HAVE A MALE MARBLE MOLLY THAT IS OUT OF CONTROL. HE'S NOT AGGRESSIVE OR MEAN JUST HORNEY AS ALL GET OUT. HE IS IN LOVE WITH MY FEMALE BLACK MOLLY AND WILL NOT LEAVE HER ALONE. 24/7 HE IS ON HER.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS NOW.I'VE ADDED ANOTHER FEMALE MOLLY BUT HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW SHE EXISTS! LET ALONE ANY OTHER FISH IN THE TANK. HE LIVES,EATS AND BREATHES EVERY MOMENT TO POKE THE BLACK MOLLY. NOW SHE PREGNANT (WHICH IS NO PROBLEM) AND DUE ANYTIME AND HE WILL NOT LET UP ON HER.IM AFRAID SHE WONT EVEN GET A BREATHER TO GIVE BIRTH TO THE FRY. OR HE'LL BE RIGHT THERE TO EAT THEM.I REALLY DONT THINK SHE WILL DO WELL IF I ISOLATE HER TO ANOTHER TANK TILL SHE HAS THE FRY..SHOULD I MOVE HIM OR JUST LET THINGS GO AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS? ALSO THE MALE HAS SOME LIKE...GOLD SPOT ON HIS HEAD AREA AND AROUND THE EYES. HE SEEMS FINE THO. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED? I APPRICIATE YOUR TIME AND ENERY FOR ANYONE THAT CAN HELP ME OUT! THANKS! KIM

Kim,

Get from your aquarium shop a special floating tank
and place the female in it. It is a special floating small cage which you place in the big aquarium and it is designed for when the fish needs to give birth,
separating the small new borns from the mum and the rest of the fish in the aquarium. All the new borns will get eaten otherwise. This will also give the female a bit of a rest from the male while they all still share the same tank.

yes you should seperate them if you want the babies to live. I recomend that you get a breeder box, put the mouther in it and once she gives birth remove the mouther so she doesn't eat the babies

good luck,
Michelle
