This is a portrait of my old Jake completed when he was fourteen. Jake started out as a solid black Lab but didn't he age with dignity. The artist is Robert Ramos of San Antonio and I believe he used oil pastels and ink. The original is about 8" X 9". Jake passed away the following year just a few days shy of 15.

that is a wonderful portrait. My mother has had a yellow lab Charlie for 7 years now. He was a great boy to live with. Now, when I go visit, I can see the white start around his eyes, and he really does look quite dignified. He will always be my charming charlie.

Wow! That is a beautiful portrait! He did age well, it looks almost natural. Well, it is natural, but like he was born with that kind've marking or something! He was a beautiful dog!

Hi Dukesdad, That is a very good artist! He did a wonderful job. And you will always have that along with your memories. He lived to a ripe old age, you must have been a great dad! Very good looking dog.....
