My dobe is about 3 months old...the thing is he has started eating very slowly...he eats his share of the days food but not as eagerly as before..i had it dewormed recently and there is no recent change in the food..i feed it 4 times a day...so was wondering if the recent change was due to teething process begining..if so any precautions i should take..thx in advance

I think appetite just naturally waxes and wanes. As long as he is getting enough food, there shouldn't be a problem. Also, you can probably cut back to 2-3 feedings per day at this point. Someone with puppies might be able to comment better about that.

As far as teething goes, there is really nothing you need to do about his food. He will just chew on everything in sight, so make sure your house (or room) is puppy-proofed if you don't want to lose your stuff.

About the teething thing, feel his gums, or mayber take him to a vet to check. I know my pup loved frozen goodies when teething. It helps numb them and feels great. We would give her ice cubes and she was in heaven! Ice packs are nice to. Just remember to be around if you give them an ice pack. They may tear through it and you don't want them to swallow anything. My pup ate like 10 cubes a day. I would say to cut back to 3 feedings a day.
Good Luck!
