There was a dog I saw at agility class that looked sort of like a small Golden. I asked what it was and it's a purebred - something I haven't heard of and I don't remember now what it was! I wanted to look it up and see what they are. Might not be an AKC breed. It was one word as far as I can remember. Not much to go on, I know, but anyone have a clue?

This would be my first guess: Nova Scotia Duck Trolling Retriever http://www.akc.org/breeds/recbreeds/novascotiaduck.cfm maybe Field Spaniel, Flat Coated Retriever or American Water Spaniel??? IP: Logged |

Aha! Toller! That's what it was. I was about to say "nah" until I saw the nickname. Thanks!

LOL! I want one! I went and read about them, and they sound like a gold-colored Nala that likes water. Muahahahaha!! Believe it or not, I found their national rescue site and the ONE dog listed is being fostered in KC...which is where we live. He has hip dysplasia, though. Those Golden puppies are still at the pet store. I need a farm. I definitely need a farm.

I have a farm, need a bigger one. These new puppies, ugh, One looks jsut like the toller. She's a little creamy colored, flufffy, and absolutely LOVES the waterbowl. The little blk, white one likes the ball. of course the tennis ball is almost as big as her, but she still trys to chase it a push it around, its all tooo cute! IP: Logged |
