I have a sweet 10 year old yorkie named Macy, that is sick. For approximately two weeks she has had a runny nose. Today all of a sudden she was making funny noises and it sounded like she was stuffed up so bad she couldnt breathe! Then I saw that she had just thrown up. I am terrified! I tried to blow her nose and get her to sneeze, but I don't know what to do for her. I though of buying a baby nose plunger thing? What do you think? I am worried that if I leave her at home she won't be able to breathe again. Please help!

Hi! Please do take her in to the vet, there is no way of knowing how bad she is without a check up.

Keep us posted....Susan

Thanks for your advice guys! It turns out Macy has allergies. I am relieved that it is not something more serious! I never would have guessed allergies though because she is ten years old and has not shown symptoms before. Childrens allergy elixer is doing the trick. Macy is only 4.5 lbs so I measure 1/2 ml in a syringe and squirt it as far in her mouth as I can so she dosen't spit it out. She does the "baby wiggle and shake face" when I give her the medicine it's so cute, especially since her nose isn't running now!
