We went on a little hike this past weekend and had alot of fun.

Dooley

This was on the ride home, Witt doesn't care that there is only enough room in the truck for two adults and two dogs if all are sitting up, he was tired and layed down to sleep...Dooley doesn't care about Witt's thoughtlessness...he just layed down on top of Witt....Witt didn't seem to care about that either!

maisey what an adventure, love the pictures of Witt and Dooley in the truck. We have a suburban with plenty of room but Jake and Wylie have to be in the front seat with us and Jake has to take the entire front seat, they looke just like that! LOL

Witt has issues in the truck...I don't know why, I wish I were a pet physic so I could ask him what his dang hangup is. If it's just me and him, he has to sit right next to me, almost ON me, he often rests his chin on my shoulder while I am driving. He won't ride sitting forward, it has to be at an angle or sideways. When It's the four of us, Dooley ends up sitting on Witt's butt most of the time because Witt refuses to face forward. Witt also has a complete freak out if you try to scoot him or make him sit on the floor. Watching him you would swear he was afraid of being tossed out of the vehicle...but I know that has never happened so I am at a loss to explain his behavior. He is the best behaved in the truck though, a very quiet, calm rider, UNLIKE Dooley. Dooley can't stand the suspense...he has to vocalize his excitement about where we may be going and dance around.

Yes Jas, they both have OutwardHound packs, but we only needed one this trip. I think I bought Witt's pack a little big for him, because I wasn't sure how big he was going to get, but it adjusts to fit him comfortably and it just means I have bigger pockets for storage. (NOT for more weight, but maybe larger items) He carried 5 pounds total on this hike.

That looks like so much fun, Maisey! I should try that with Ranger. He LOVES hiking, especially if it involves walking along a creek, even though he doesn't seem to like water at any other time .

Hi Maisey, Did the expression "A can of sardines" ever cross your mind? Heheheh! Too cute! I think it's so wonderful how you always seem to involve your pets with fun time!!!

Maybe Witt is a little nervous about riding, nothing would had to have happened to him for him to feel that way. Some dogs just love it! and others want to go bye bye but still don't like the drive. The feeling of the truck moving under him, may be a little upsetting to him, so he scoots as close to you as he can get. You're his security! I could be wrong, but that's how it sounds. Anyway, love the pics and stories very much! keep em comin!!!
