Zena is a howler. The owner at the sanctuary told us that she was a talker but this sounds like she's dying! At 50lbs+ she can pack a punch. We've tried to ignore her and not run to the door everytime she does this but I don't want the neighbors to get upset. We left the lighting on in their shed and turned off the porch light and the rest of the lights in our house. She will even howl when we're outside with them. Luke is getting tired of her too and he popped her on the snout a couple of times. Can anyone give me any advise on what we can do to cut down on her howling? I have seen the citronella collar on the internet. Could this be an option for us???

Let see she must have been an inside doggy well the garden hose works great or those collers i have seen 2 the spray kind or the zap one when they bark have not tried them though . I can tell you the garden hose works quite well i really think it will be too much for you to keep them both the male is going to need a lot of time and patiance see if they will keep the female till you have him all set for 6 months to a year

Luke has actually turned into a whole new dog with his sister here. I really didn't want to bring her home yet because it seemed like there was so much work to do with him but he fooled us! Since we brought her home he has turned into a whole new dog. He even ran up to my husbands grandmother whom he was afraid of before. We're going to work on our leash walking with both of them tomorrow and see if we can make it to the corner and back. Do you have any tips on a good brand of dog food? The 2 seniors we had before were on Senior Science Diet small bites. I have Nutro now. What about vitamins?
