I left a message last week and got great responses. Well yes I have more questions. I have now made her crate smaller so she could lay down and turn around. I put her in the crate last night at 10:30 pm and by 4:00am she was crying and I got up to let her out and she already went pee in there. Is it weird that she won't poop in there but will pee?

I'm sorry, I have forgotten how old your dog is?

I don't know the reason, but dogs seem to have more accidents with pee than poo. Perhaps they just have to pee more often? Or they have a bigger aversion to poo?

Anyway, it sounds like you need to get her out earlier. She didn't make it for 5.5 hours, so I would set your alarm for 3-4 hours after you put her in her crate. If she has peed already, make it even shorter. When you find a time that works, use that interval. Slowly start lengthening the time. If she starts having mistakes again, go back to the last time that worked and stay there for a couple days. Eventually, she will be able to hold it all night.

Welcome to the world of sleep deprivation.

She is 5 1/2 months old. I didn't set my alarm, I listen like I did for my child for her to cry and by the time I heard her she already went in the cage.

at what time do you stop making water available to her?

at what time is her last potty break before sleep time?

if she is going to sleep at 10:30 i would suggest taking away water at 8pm. if she appears to be thirsty or has played a lot offer her an ice cube instead of free water.
but as jamiya said it seems she is not ready to go 5 1/2 hours without a potty break.
how often does she go out during the day?

Listening for my puppy worked for me, but if yours is not crying until after she goes, you may have to do the alarm thing. Hopefully it would be short term.

She does not make a sound, if she did it would be great. I am trying to figure out how to teach her to speak and then maybe it will be easier, I could at least when I am up and around the house she can sit by the door and speak I won't open the door until she speaks
