Why in the world would some one not adjust a dogs collar? I was watching Animal Cops Detroit last night, and there was this German Shephard that had a Chain 2" grown into his neck. Thats rediculous! Why on earth would anyone not adjust that as he grows? Do they seem to think it will "majically" grow with the dog??? I mean come on!!! It made me sooo mad I wanted to puta chain on her and let it grow into her neck and tie her up with it! I'm glad no one has dumped a dog off at our place that had any sort of pain like that. They had to put the dog down because it was EXTREMELY food agressive. She claimed she fed the dog twice a day, BULL CRAP! if she did the dog wouldn't be defending his food like he was fighting for his life! GRRRRRRR Why can't people get it through their minds: DON'T GET A PET IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE CARE OF IT!!!!! IP: Logged |

thats horrible, I cant wathc those shows either. I was at a party last year and this older couple had just got 2 kittens a few weeks before, they had collars on that wre soo tight, I couldnt believe it. I loosened them and they werent the ones that release if they get caught. They were probably thinking oh I dont want them to get caught so I will jsut tighten it. They were only about 10 weeks and shouldnt have been wearing collars anyway. Honebyear IP: Logged |

I don't enjoy those shows either, but I do learn much from them. Since I do rescue and stuff, I like to know my limitations on how far i can go, what steps I need to take, ect.... I read alot, and domuch research, DAILY. SOme who volunteer think they are doing good things, inturn they are doing more harm than good. Its a good educational show, though they do tend to go a bit overboard on some cases. IP: Logged |

I think some people are just so lazy and have no business owning a dog....some of the people on Animal Precinct find it difficult to even feed their dogs even when they have dog food right in the house! Its really quite sad. [This message has been edited by nern (edited 02-23-2004).] IP: Logged |

I think one of the worst I saw was a dog chained to the radiator with a bag of food right out of the dogs reach. The poor thing was going crazy trying to get it. Actually that was not the worst but one that comes to mind. I cant watch that show any more because it just gets worse and worse, just when you think you have seen it all. IP: Logged |

I have seen that one before, but at least its still alive I saw one episode where a young dog (it sort of looked like) where he was dead, and he like looked like he was there for a while cause the body..(poor doggie) was like sinking into the soil... person didn't even check on the poor dog...
