what should i be feeding my 10 week old doberman..i give it puppy food twice a day and then carb and protein rich natural food twice a day(i.e 4 times a day)..when i try to feed it anything new ...eggs for example it promptly upsets its digestive system(loose motions) and i am forced to go back to the old foods..is this normal or is my dobe extrasensitive...how can i introduce eggs and some meat into its diet without upsetting its digestive system

There is a thread here entitled "Food For Thought" that has a lot of info. You can search for it or just go to the board of Articles on Health, etc.

Are you giving him the protein rich stuff because you want to switch him over to feeding raw? If not, then I would just stay with the kibble food, and feed him about 3 times a day. The reason I say this is because I know that with the larger dogs there is supposed to be some ideal protein/fat ratio which is supplied in the puppy food in the right proportions. If you add to it you may be upseting this balance. Mind you, I am far from being an expert, I have just been doing a lot of reading on large breed puppy food and there is a lot of too much this/too much that can cause bone/growth problems.

As far as the eggs and stuff upsetting him, I had a similar problem when i switched my dogs food. Some stuff just doesn't sit well with her. I would just recommend adding it very, very slowly and if it still doesn't agree with him then just stop with it.

Hi there at 10weeks old your puppy should be eating 4meals aday.

Adding or changing any animlas diet to soon will upset there stomach so its always best to do this slowly.
He should really be on a canned meat and kibble at the moment.

He is still a puppy until he is 18-24months old then he becomes an adult.
The first year of a puppy's life is very important so is getting the correct amount of food into your pup as this is the time growth and muscle build up happens too little of calcium vitamins and iron and so on can cause a weak boned/bodied dog.

Too much can make them ill so it is vital that everything is done correctly.

When trying to feed scrambled eggs try mixing it with a little boiled rice as the rice is light on the stomach and should help with the upset.
