After reading Jimiyas post in the dogs view of being sheltered. I got on our local humane society website and lo and behold is a catahoula x blk merle needing transport to sacramento. and I am going on Sat. So I just called and they said the dog ended up going to a catahoula rescue and went to canada, I said wow that is in the opposite direction. and they said they couldnt get a transport there but this happened, so either way it worked out, so stupid me didnt ask, if I should put my name on a list if they ever need dogs transported so I am going to
give them a call

There are tons of Catahoulas right now in California shelters and they always need transport help as do other rescues. If you will be going on a trip, the best thing to do is post the dates and trip destination on the rescue board and let people know you are willing at that time to do it. I think that little mix you are talking about was the one I was supposed to help on...but Morgan just took her the whole way. The girl I did transport...they changed her name to Possum...and she is being adopted by my Witt's moms owners! Such a small world sometimes. I posted the link to the Catahoula rescue board below...post amessage saying where you are and that you would be willing to help with transport sometimes, they have been begging for transport help.

Good for you! It will leave you feeling wonderful, knowing you helped in some way. It always does me. Does the heart good.
