I know we all have nicknames for our pets, whats yours? Jake is Jakey-poo and poo bear. it was given to him by friends kids when he was a pup and it has stuck since. Wylie is my precious, except now I have a hard time calling her my precious after Ive seen lord of the rings II with gollum! And Midas, he is cat and he refuses to do nicknames so he is just Midas. I don't know where I came up with this, but I call Cameron "Chunka Bunk"- my husband laughs at me when I call her that- I do it almost involuntarily now! I think it started with me calling her "chunky," because she's stocky like a pug, and I guess it developed from that! IP: Logged |

Ranger is either Ranger-Danger or Little Buddy (where that one came from I will never know!). Snickers, his sister, though not ours, is often called Snickerdoodle by us. Gracie, the cat, is technically Grace, but she doesn't know that, she only comes to Gracie . When we got the dog she got yet another nickname, kitty kitty. Now when Ranger here's us say 'kitty kitty' he goes crazy trying to find her! [This message has been edited by tuttifrutti (edited 02-11-2004).] IP: Logged |

Hey Mike- I used to live with a dog called Missy and we called her Missy Moo, it just seems to go so well! I call Bender "Bendy" "Bendy Boy" "Silly" "Poo squeeze" "Sweestie"- any affectionate name under the sun!! But the main one is Bendy-boy. (By the way my dogs Bender and Leela are named after cartoon characters from the show Futurama.) Why is the word "poo" so often used as an affectionate name?!! It's not as if it is a desirable object.. As for my other dog I have only had her for a week and I'm not even used to her real name yet! I kept forgetting it when we got her and I was saying to my partner: "Go and get... um... whatshername!" IP: Logged |

Such cute nicknames everyone has for their dogs. LOL. I call Sebastian...Bas, Poopy-pants - because when is hair was longer he used to always get poop stuck in it when he went to the bathroom), Dancy-pants - because when I first got him I think this was the only trick he knew how to do...he would "dance" whenever he wanted something like to go outside or to get a treat. He is such a cutie sometimes. [This message has been edited by nern (edited 02-10-2004).] IP: Logged |

Hmmm. You know, Nala doesn't really have nicknames. Sometimes I call her Missy (which confuses my daughter as well), LittleBlackDog, Squirt (another source of confusion for my daughter - perhaps I am the one confused?), and Silly. Blanco had nicknames, probably because we were having trouble naming him. He was Buddy and then Buster Brown. My kids couldn't remember the name Blanco, so one was calling him Bozo and the other was calling him Bonzo. Poor dog! Patches (cat) doesn't really have nicknames beyond the normal "baby", "sweetie" and all the other babytalk names. I started calling him Boo Boo Kitty yesterday for some reason. Tesla (other cat) I have been calling Chunky Monkey because I switched her to canned food and she is starting to get a tummy. I need to cut back!

lol, these are great. I can't beleive I'm gonna admit this, but Floobs is Flooby Doo. I even sing "Flooby Dooby Doo" to him and he loves it lol. Others are "little monster" and "scallyway" which he gets excited at cause he knows he's doing something he shouldn't be. IP: Logged |

Hehe, I love coming here, I always get a chuckle. We call Max squarehead and Bud and when he's bad it's Maximus. My sister likes to refer to him as Maxy but husband hates the similarity to the feminine hygiene product! IP: Logged |

Jasmine is Jas, or Big Mama (she isnt a mom just the biggest dog in the house, my two yo calls her mama) or when she is in trouble my husband gave her a middle name Jasmine Norese (sp?) Belle answers to half-pint, hubby came up with that one and she usually only answers to that with him. Fifi is cornchip cause she smells like a corn chip. I know sucky nickname but all we have come up with so far. I call both of the poms foxes cause they look like a fox. Almost forgot we also calls the poms Thing 1 and Thing 2, cause they are destructive just like the things off Cat and the Hat [This message has been edited by 3Dogsihave (edited 02-11-2004).] IP: Logged |

Kathy I can sooo relate! Granvel allways tells me how stupid it is to talk to the dogs, and call them nicknames. He claims they "don't know the diffrence". But they do! At night when he gets home, you can hear him, "oh hello char bear!, hows my girl?" Yeah, slips her treats, talks to her, and asks her questions....so much for the manly man approach!!! IP: Logged |
