Hi! what a morning I'm having! I was walking to the hamper to put clothes in "when" I tripped over the puppy and fell, hit my head on the corner of the hamper. Now I have this big goose egg on my forehead. It hurt, but I had to laugh, it scared the heck out of the puppy! I bet he thought I was going to fall on him! he ran into the closet and hid. I told my husband: people are going to think "you beat me" he said I could probably use one! just kidding of coarse...Well Hope my day goes better!!! Susan PS. I still doesn't know about the hat! So, are you keeping the puppy? I thought in another post you said you couldn't, but I could've imagine that quite easily, with people all getting rid of new dogs . He still hasn't found that hat!?!?!? amazing! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Like with "sustained" gosh I'm bad!!! The puppy belongs to my daughter, I'm keeping him while she's in training for a homeland security position she got. (I'm so proud of her) but that has nothing to do with dogs, so I'll shut up!!! Susan IP: Logged |

tutti frutti- I think you're getting susan mixed with "charmedagain," that was the person who was considering getting rid of the puppy. I'm guessing this because I get the two mixed up a lot too- I think it's cause of the similarity in the names- I mean, I guess they're really not that similar except for they both have a "c" in them, but for some reason I get them switched around! My dog bit my lip once and I had to call my husband to come and bring to the E-room for stitches. You know everyone of the people in the waiting room thought he smacked me. Well if he has not noticed the hat yet, it just is not all as important as you thought right. We can hope. Now go put some ice on theat goose. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My mother used to teach junior high, and she had at least one student (I think there were two over the years) who broke an arm after tripping over the dog....

I got kicked in the throat once by a 4 month old foal, it left a HUGE hicky sort of mark on my neck and down towards my chest, probably 5 inches wide and 6-8 inches long, there were some scratches in it that bled and of course the swelling made it look worse. At the emergency room( only because I was having troubles breathing) everyone stared at my husband and gave him evil looks. The nurse even asked him to wait outside, then she asked me what happened. I told her...and she said "thats just too odd to not be true", I was like..."what did you have in your mind that happened?" Assumptions...so easily made sometimes. IP: Logged |

I always get samsintentions and susan mixed up. must be the S. Well this doesnt have anything to do with an animal, but I tripped and fell a few years ago and went head first into the sidewalk and literally landed face first on the left side of my face. The next day I thought I was having a brain siezure, because of the swelling, it was nasty! I made my husband take me to the emergency. and the Nurse said oh you are lucky you can tell it is a fall because part of it looked like a strawberry where the skin is rubbed off and not getting hit or else she would have to report me as possible spousal abuse. so they take those things seriously honeybear IP: Logged |

Dont feel bad! This morning I went to get the mail (I live in the country down a dirt road and my mail box is at the end of the driveway and its like a 1 minute walk up there and 1 minute back) and Cookie, my chocolate lab, came running up to me and she couldnt stop in time so she slid and she has this deformed tooth that sticks out of her mouth and she jammed her tooth into my knee, it was bleeding for almost 10 minutes.. i was so glad when it stopped and i was so mad at her. but i couldnt stay mad so i went back out and pet her and cupcake (the yellow lab) and gave them each a Scooby Snack.. I swear someone moves my keys around on my keyboard, I am forever typing the wrong words.. and i swear during the day I never have to look down at the keyboard, but at night its like they all move around and I AM constantly going who put the e in front of the r? lol Good luck with the Goosegg!! lol Stephanie IP: Logged |

Isn't it amazing, though, that it seems they always miss the mark? The real people being abused never get identified and get help, but the innocent people get dragged through the system "just in case." Ironic.

Hi, tuttiefrootie & puggle, You're not confused! Casey did have puppies and I thought of keeping one of them, but hubby said "NO" how dare him!! Anyway I have two left, keeping one for my best friend until she moves into her new house, and the other is my daughters, she'll be taking him home in about two weeks. just thought I would clarify! Susan Everyone else! I love the stories! takes my mind off the pain.... IP: Logged |

LOL!! There is a whole thread on another board talking about injuries accidentally sustained from dogs, like yours Susan (not bites or things like that). Some are terribly serious injuries, too. I guess it is more common than one would have thought!

Yeah, I was running with Ranger, and the whole time he had been really good about staying on my left side, but then he switched to my right for whatever reason, and I couldn't stop before I tripped over his leash. I earned 5 new scars because of it, one of them a 'bubble' because it was a 'ditch'. Now almost everytime I where shortsleeves, someone who hasn't heard the story just has to know what happened, or people just stare (Since I know have a purple elbow) .
