Hi Susan the scan showed no pups but the vet has suggested taking her back 3days before she would be due to have the pups incase there is only one pup in there and he has missed it. Also i mixed the dates up and its only been 2weeks since she was mated so if i remember correctly its impossible to detect the puppies that early on. Its easier at 3-4 weeks after mating so i think i will take her back in 2 weeks just to be sure. Mike IP: Logged |

HIya i have decided if when i take her back that there is deffinatley none in there i am booking her into be spayed i think this her body's way to say no i dont want to be a mummy. So i gonna take her back in 3-4 weeks that way they should be large enough to detect on the scan if there is any hid in there. mike IP: Logged |

Hi Mike, With the vet saying about there may be one in there that couldn't be detected on the scan yet, at least you know to look for signs. I wouldn't worry about it, seriously. You've done all you can and what will be will be. You know her so well you're gonna tell the first time she's off her food, or moving uncomfortably, or has any kind of discharge... any changes in her bahaviour what so ever and you'll run her straight back to the vet to get her sorted out. I truely hope she has one hidden and it survives, but if not then she'll just continue to be a great foster mum We're all rooting for her either way. IP: Logged |

Well said Nik! Mike you know your dogs better than anyone like Nik said. If you think she shouldn't breed than that's what you need to do, but I sure hope she can be. You're such a good "dad" I know she'll be fine. Please try not to worry, my prayers are with you! Your friend, Susan IP: Logged |
