does anyone know of any sites to research the ancestors on my dogs pedigree. I'd like to know more about his family.

Did your dog(s) come with a pedigree? If so you could use a search engine and type in the names of the dogs to see what comes up. Many breeds have an "online Pedigree search" website with collective database (and sometimes a photo) of pedigreed dogs. Type in "Rottweiler Online Pedigree Search".

There aren't a lot of general sites with that kind of information around for Rottweilers that I know of.

There are quite a few Rottweiler clubs in the U.S. that can give you some information if the dog comes from dogs that are "big time" dogs. If not, you need to go back to your breeder and see if they can help you.
