I am an owner of a ten year old German Shepard and a six year old Rough Collie, in the past few months I realize my collie has been urinating on his own food bowl after their feeding. My two dogs always switches to each other's food due to my German Shepard's dominating behavior, immediately after they finishes their food I see my coolie releasing himself on his same bowl every evening. I've try to teach my collie but I don't think he gets it, can someone explain why and how can I change this behavior? IP: Logged |

I'm only guessing here...but I would think he is doing it to mark the food bowl as his. He is sending a message to the other dog.."this is MY bowl". Perhaps if you fed them in seperate areas so he doesn't feel threatened the behavior would stop. IP: Logged |
