Have an 8wk old xbreed rescue puppy. Have been paper training with good effect, but last day or so he has taken to deliberatly urinating on his bed. Has been washed several times with enzyme based products to remove smells. Anyone any suggestions why? or how to prevent re occurances? IP: Logged |

Hi! there was a very good dicussion on this topic just a few days ago, I'll try to find the topic name an give it to you. You can do a search for this same topic, and I'm sure you will get all you need. Until then: 8 wks is still very young, I don't think it's deliberate. I think he's still just a puppy and puppies take alot of time and persistance to train. Perhaps you need to take him out more often to go potty. Puppies are alot of work! but I don't realy need to tell you that, you have one. I'll look for the thread on this topic. Good luck! and congradulations on the new member. Susan IP: Logged |

Hi Paer taining the puppy is making more work for yourself and your puppy as you just learn him to go on the paper and then you have to train them to go outside so its all confusing to the puppy. All puppies will pee in there beds they do it when they are with there mother. Time and patience and your pup will be ok dont get upset or angry with him a simply no in a loud voice well not loud enough to scare the hind legs off him but only do this when caught in the act. good luck and congratulations on the new addition mike.
