I was wondering if anyone knows how long parvo usually takes. My dog has made it through about 5 days. I was wondering if I could take that as a good sign. Thanks

Mary, I'm glad to hear Chester is hanging in there, my thoughts are with both of you. If you look to the bottom of this page, to the right you will see where it says "Hop To", bring down the menu and choose Health care and articles, there are several,(3-4) articles on Parvo with much information in them.

Parvo is a deadly and hard battle to overcome. There are two strains of parvo that I'm aware of. One only takes about 3-5 days and the other has an incubation period of 10-12 days.

If your puppy has made it this far, thats a good sign. BUt don't give up. He's still got alot to go through before he's healthy again.

Good luck.
