Has anyone used this food? If so how did your dog like it or any side effects. The breeder I bought my dane pup from says this is what she feed her.

Thanks
Doug

I believe this is what my sister uses for her Golden, on the recommendation of her breeder. Her dog is doing well, but she is only 3 years old. I don't personally know anything about the food.

MANY breeders use this food, on the Catahoula board I would say 80 percent of them seem to use diamond. It's been a long while since I looked at it,so i don't remember off the top of my head why I said no to it. Something to remember, when you have a kennel full of dogs it is not economical to feed a an expensive food, and many don't. I'll look at it later and come back and post.

Here is a link to the Large breed puppy formulas info;
http://www.diamondpet.com/Formulas/puppylamb.html

I would have been looking at the Premium Adult Formula and looking at those ingredients now ...right off the bat the first ingredient is Chicken by product meal and the second is corn, so I would have walked away from it right there.
Maybe with the link to the ingredients for the puppy formula some others will have comments for you.
