Our 5 month old Shiba Inu puppy still isn't potty trained. We got him in November and have been trying to potty train him ever since then. We thought that he was potty trained for a few weeks back in December because he started whining when he wanted to go out and didn't have accidents anymore. Then, a few weeks ago, he started peeing in his kennel every time someone came to open it. We don't think it's out of excitement because he started laying down in it and putting his ears down recently. WHat should we do to break him of this? IP: Logged |

it sounds like your puppymight be displaying submissive peeing. try to not make a big deal out of letting the pup out of the crate just open the door and walk away than a few minutes later you can go and see the pup. i help out with a dog obedience and thats the advice the instructer gives to the pet owners with the same problem. does the puppy seem to pee when people walk up to it or maybe talk to it in an excited voice?
