I have a question...the dog I transported this weekend apparently had flat worms, are these the same as tapeworms? just different name? The woman who did a leg of the transport after me wrote me an e-mail telling me that I should watch my dogs for this...my dogs were never in contact with the dog we transported, she was only in my truck, not at my home or yard so I don't see how this would effect my dogs???. She also found a tick on her and I have never had to deal with ticks...should I vacuumm out my truck before letting my dogs ride in it? I know it's silly but I am scared to death of ticks!

Oh you are so lucky yo dont have ticks. they are horrible here since we have so many deer. whenever they are out front playing and they come back in I have to give them a once over to pull ticks off. they do wear tick collars but they only work after the tick bites. luckily I have only had a few on me.
Sorry, I cant help you on the worm thing, maybe wash your truck with bleach just to be cautious
