HELP WITH POTTY TRAINING! We got our Shiba Inu puppy back in November and have been trying to potty train him ever since. We thought he was potty trained for about two/three weeks when he started asking to go out and when he quit having accidents in his kennel and on the carpet. A couple of weeks ago however, the routine not having changed, he started peeing in his cage every time someone would walk up to it to open it and take him out. At first, we thought it was out of excitement, but now he pees and then lays in it with his ears down. What should we do to try to break him of this habit?

Hi a dog or puppy that pee's and lays back down in it with there ears down should be seen by a vet.
Also if your pup is peeing when someone goes to his kennel to open it then if he isnt doing it out of excitment then he is either doing it from fear or illness so i would have to advice to take him to be checked over by a vet just to rule out any infections.
